How it works

Three steps, no upfront cost.

Search your flight in our archive

Enter the date, route or flight number. Our database holds over 15 million flights with verified operational data: actual times, delays, cancellations and diversions sourced directly from airports.

Automatic assessment on real data

Unlike other platforms, we don't rely on your declaration. Our system cross-references your flight with the historical archive and automatically evaluates the disruption — actual delay, flight status, route distance — against EU Reg. 261/2004 criteria.

We handle everything

Our legal team manages all communication with the airline, from the formal demand letter to potential court action. Legal costs are covered by the airline, not by you.

Why FlyArea

Proprietary flight archive

Our database holds over 15 million flights with verified operational data: real times, delays, cancellations and diversions. While others rely on your declaration, we verify every disruption against the facts.

Evidence-based assessment, not trust

We cross-reference airport and airline operational data to evaluate with concrete proof whether the extraordinary circumstances claimed by the airline actually hold up. We don't take their word for it.

Your personal dashboard

Track every step of your case from a dedicated dashboard: detailed timeline, documents, real-time status updates and notifications on every progress. No waiting in the dark.

Zero cost for you

We never ask you for any payment. Legal costs are fully covered by the airline. Only in the case of flash compensation (paid within 14 days), we retain 10% of the amount the airline pays you.

Real legal assistance

We're not an aggregator. Our in-house legal team handles every case from start to finish, from the formal demand letter to potential court action.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which flights are covered by EU Regulation 261/2004?
All flights departing from an EU airport, regardless of airline, and flights arriving in the EU operated by a European carrier. This includes delays of 3+ hours at arrival, cancellations, and denied boarding due to overbooking.
How long do I have to file a claim?
Limitation periods vary by country. In Italy you have 2 years from the flight date. We recommend acting as soon as possible to have all documentation available.
Do extraordinary circumstances exclude compensation?
Yes: exceptional weather events, political instability, or strikes not attributable to the airline qualify as "extraordinary circumstances" that exempt the carrier. Our system assesses this preliminary factor automatically.
What if my flight isn't in your database?
If the flight isn't in our archive, the case is assigned to an operator for manual verification. You'll receive a response within 48 working hours.
Does the service have a cost?
No. Legal costs are fully covered by the airline. Only in the case of flash compensation (paid within 14 days), we retain 10% of the amount paid by the airline. In all other cases, we retain nothing.
